Hi! I decided to produce some short videos explaining more of my thoughts and feelings about music.
2. Chaconne by Robert de Visee – “The Sound of Silence” – amazingly good title of Simon & Garfunkel song. Why stay silence? Because that’s the time when you feel and think at the same time. Why produce silence? Because when you talk a lot, you don’t listen at all.
3. Kapsberger – Can you paint better than your eye? What is nature? Are humans part of it or against it? That was the main concept of the video for Kapsberger’s arpeggiata. Amazing and inspiring piece of baroque music that went beyond the bounds of it’s era. Modern even for this day.
4. Jorge Morel – Sonatina: II Adagio. I met Jorge Morel when I was 16 on a guitar workshop/masterclasses. I came with the score and started to play a piece that he wrote. Then he took the scores and started to change notes to make this piece have more sense. That was the first time when I experienced, that art is always fluid. Art has been captured using various methods, so that it is not completely lost. However, it is never a finished work.
5. Pavane – Gaspar Sanz – Thanks to my work on YouTube, I was discovered by a festival organizer in New Zealand, who invited me to perform at their concerts. I experienced a great deal of kindness at that time. Goodness from nature and kind people. However, I also experienced what it means to be recognized and gossiped about behind my back. During the trip, I drew endless energy from the wonderful hospitality and absorbed with every sense the experiences associated with the blissful weather, landscape, and smiles. I felt appreciated and gave everything I could. I trained myself to not let people who, despite such wonderful circumstances, choose stress, envy, and gossip, take away my joy.
6. John Dowland – Can she excuse my wrongs – I must admit that this English text in its original form (and not only!) is very strange to me. There was something in the mentality of those people that made things that were obvious to them completely incomprehensible to us. I understand that this refers to a woman from a higher social class who does not completely reject the advances of a man from a lower social class. She is nice, but she does not invite him over at the same time. He, not knowing what is going on, does not give up, but falls into despair. Hey, man, why don’t you have the courage to ask directly? Who does this game of courtship serve, and why? Aren’t there more important things to do in life? Seriously, do serious and good things, and the people who join your team will bond with you. Find love there, and don’t play games that consume your entire mind and all your commitment. Use your commitment and energy to make very important things happen around you. Oh, wait. Now I must admit – nothing really changed from that era.
